Afrobeat Networking party made its debut on the 28th of February’14. The aim of the event was to present a platform for upcoming afrobeats artist and industry personnel to network and help grow the Afrobeat genre to a wider audience.
The event indeed met its aim and even more ! The event was a huge success with over 150 guests attending. Artists got the chance to network with Managers, DJs, Producers, Publishers, Bloggers, Press, and other industry personnel. We also saw a live performance from VickySola .
Following that success we are now pleased to welcome back the return of the number 1 Afrobeat Industry Night in the UK. This time we are adding a new twist to Networking!!!
Date is Friday 9 May 2014 at the luxurious 5 Star Grange Hotel, St Pauls.
Doors open at 7pm with a Special Afrobeats DJ's Q&A Session at 8.30pm.
Here we will have 5 DJ's in the industry answer questions from the curiosity of artists and Afrobeat lovers.
The night will follow a Special Recognition of Afrobeat DJ's that have made an impact in the rise of Afrobeats in the UK.
There will also be a short Open Mic Session for artists to showcase their talent in the presence of industry personnel.
The last Afrobeat Network Party was heavily covered by media houses including Ben TV, VoxAfrica, Nigeria Watch, etc. There was also much social media circulation pre and post the event and we expect this follow up event to be no different.
