Model from Uganda has won the debut edition of Africa’s Next Top Model, walking away with N8.5m.
Aamito Stacie Lagun was announced winner of the TV reality show on Sunday, January 13, 2013 beating two other finalists Nigeria’s Opeyemi Awoyemi and Michaela Pinto from Angola.
The show which lasted for 10 episodes featured 12 models and was hosted by Nigeria’s supermodelOluchi Orlandi. Judges were former model Josie Borain and photographer Remi Adetiba.
The Ugandan model currently works with Arapapa Models and is a graduate of Uganda Christian University, Mukono, Uganda. The 5’11’’ inch tall dark-skinned beauty has also featured at a Vogue Italiashow held in the Eastern African country.
In addition to winning that N8.5m, Aamito also receives a one-year modelling contract with New York based modelling agency DNA plus a few product endorsement deals.
