A report says Jim Iyke was arrested on December 18, 2013 after he allegedly harassed another Nigerian in Accra, Ghana.
The Nollywood actor is said to have been involved in a brawl at the Crave Café at Adjiringanor, East legon in Accra. Iyke traced a ‘stout-looking gentleman’ and ‘engaged the man in a heated argument over $10,000 (N1,600,000).
Eyewitness told The Ghanaian Times that at a point it became very difficult for those around to separate the two as the argument turned into a nasty fight.
‘Jim Iyke wanted to get into his car to pull out something which was suspected to be a gun, but he was prevented by those at the café’, the publication reports.
The Nollywood bad boy is said to have been arrested moments later when the other man (who managed to free himself and flee the scene) returned with two policemen from the Legon Police Command – one in mufti and other in uniform.
Eyewitnesses also told The Ghanaian Times that Iyke returned to the café 20 minutes later. It is believed that the ‘gentlemen’ had settled their differences.
The Legon Police Commander in a telephone conversation, with The Ghanaian Times said they were unable to arrest Jim Iyke or the other man as those who witnessed the fight at the scene were reluctant to give up information.
All we can say is that Nadia Buari won’t be pleased.
